JustServe opportunity for any and all! Goal 500 Drive benefiting Pakistani people who have lost so much in the recent floods. Seeking donations of clothing and bedding. Donations may be dropped off at the Stake Center every Saturday from 9:00 - 11:00am through November 19th. Please see attached letter and flyer for more details.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we embark on this upcoming Holiday season there are so many that need our help. We have
been given the opportunity to join hands with HELPING HAND FOR RELIEF & DEVELOPMENT
organization and help those who are being dramatically affected by torrential rains and flooding
that have impacted their very existence to live.

Torrential monsoon rains triggered the most severe flooding in Pakistan’s recent history,
washing away villages and leaving almost 10 million children in need of immediate, lifesaving
support. in need of assistance and at increased risk of waterborne diseases, drowning and
malnutrition.

As floodwaters recede, the sheer scale of damage is being revealed. Hundreds of thousands of
homes have been damaged or destroyed, while many public health facilities, water systems and
schools have been destroyed or damaged. Young children are living out in the open with their
families, with no drinking water, no food, and no livelihood, exposed to a wide range of new
flood-related risks and hazards, including from damaged buildings and drowning in floodwaters.
They are in dire need of warm clothes for the upcoming winter months. Therefore through our
Just Serve efforts and Elder Oaks inspirational message at General Conference Helping the Poor
and Distressed (Oct 2022 General Conference) “The Church of Jesus Christ is committed to
serving those in need, and it is also committed to cooperating with others in that effort.”
Despite all that our Church does directly, most humanitarian service to the children of God
worldwide is carried out by persons and organizations having no formal connection with our
Church. As one of our Apostles observed: “God is using more than one people for the
accomplishment of his great and marvelous work. … It is too vast, too arduous, for any one
people.” 4 As members of the restored Church, we need to be more aware and more
appreciative of the service of others.

We are asking you to join in our stake effort of the ‘GOAL 500 DRIVE’. We are collecting new,
slightly used winter items for all ages. Please see the ‘Flyer’ attached and start getting the word
out. We will be at the Stake Center every Saturday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am collecting the
donated items. All items need to be collected by November 19 th , 2022.

Do you ever wish you could maximize your study

of Come, Follow Me?

Do you wish you could find a better way to
apply the principles to your life?

Many of us have hopped on one podcast

or another to deepen our understanding of

Come Follow Me and the Scriptures,
and those are lovely.

But did you know that we have our own
Gospel discussion leader in the
Kimball East Stake?

Here are four reasons why

you should join Allison Ellsworth
on Tuesday mornings

 from 9:30 until 10:30
at the 48th Street chapel:

One: Unlike a podcast, you get to
          participate with your own

       insights and questions.

Two: You receive the value of other’s

                 faith promoting experiences.

Three: You don’t need to wear a dress

or a suit or a mask!

Four: Who doesn’t need another

                     opportunity to feel the Spirit?!?!

Please join us if you can!
